The municipality announced on Sunday that it is continuing the pilot test of primary and pedagogical family farms for COVID-19 on a cumulative basis, which began three weeks ago in Vilnius.
According to the report, the schools were selected based on the efforts of their administrations to coordinate the pilot project not only presenting it to parents, but also taking care to plan the safe movement of student flows.
Examining students from the Vilnius Duke Gediminas Progymnasium, which has been in continuing education for three weeks, found two of the 167 accumulated samples showing coronavirus infection on Friday. On the same day, members of both groups were registered and tested by PCR.
The study confirmed the initial response, so the two classes will temporarily return to distance education starting Monday, taking care to avoid a coronavirus outbreak.
According to the municipality, the coronavirus infection in the groups was detected for the first time in three weeks of pilot tests.
