Laimonas Grikeviius, representative of the Santara Clinic, Ingrida Olendrait, a virologist working in Cambridge, and Tumas Beinortas, a doctor at the University of Cambridge Hospital, are retiring from the Government Advisory Council on COVID-19.
According to the prime minister, they are retiring due to the high level of employment.
L. Grikeviius is currently the director of the Center for Hematology, Oncology and Transfusionology at the Santara Clinic, I. Olendrait is a researcher at the University of Cambridge in England, and T. Beinort is a doctor at the University of Cambridge.
The Board of Experts endorses several decisions related to quarantine management.
The government announced on Monday that following the withdrawal of some members of the expert council, it was agreed that the council would meet every two weeks from now.
The government declares that it has been decided to invite a new specialist in their field to the council, and that those who have already retired from the council will be offered to share their expertise in dealing with issues in a specific field.
Subgroups dedicated to a specific topic will work between council meetings.
