According to her, the place meets hygiene standards and all minimum comfort requirements. “The first task was to move people from tents and wet beds to dry and heated facilities as soon as possible,” the minister said.
In addition, the migrants will have showers, basic kitchens, a hobby room and a store on site. The migrants will receive a monthly food allowance of € 77.

This food allowance will be paid to each person. It is true that it has not yet been decided whether the vulnerable people will be transferred to the newcomers and will receive such food allowance.
Ms Navickienė said that migrant children will be provided employment at this accommodation center and will learn Lithuanian from October 1.
“The refugee reception center is suitable for that, because there is a building with classrooms, children will be able to receive education here, in the area,” said the minister.
When asked why children will be taught the Lithuanian language if these migrants are expected to be returned to their home countries, M. Navickienė stated that all children have the right to education.

Beatričė Bernotienė, director of the Rukla Refugee Reception Center, said that 5 teaching classes for children were installed in the station premises.
“Currently, 300 migrants live in the stationary buildings of the refugee reception center, about 60 percent. It consists of children. Much of it is of school age. According to her, three Lithuanian language lessons per day are planned, in addition to non-formal education. The education will be provided by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, and the Lithuanian House of Vilnius hires the teachers.

In total, there are 125 four- to six-bed cabins in the Rukla camp. The cabin has beds, refrigerator. Showers and toilets are provided at the end of the camp, and kitchens are also shared. In addition, some 30 people were hired to work in the field with migrants.
No additional meals will be provided to migrants. The Jonava company that won the tender will sell food and other products in the camp.
In the store, a package of 10 eggs costs 1.50 euros, a liter of milk – 0.90 euros. Alcohol will not be sold in the store, but tobacco products will be on sale starting next week.
