“Is this how Lithuania will be vaccinated? How can we live sustainably when such things happen? The Kaunas National Vaccination Center is closed on Saturdays. People travel at specified times and no one works here.
I have nothing to say. SCARY! Not even a reason for not working was written. Also, it is not very pleasant for people to travel on trolleybuses, with public transport during such heat, ”wrote a Kaunas resident, who could not get vaccinated in time.
At the same time, he recalled the desire to vaccinate the majority of the population as soon as possible, which, in his opinion, is overwhelmed by the fact that the Kaunas Vaccination Center is closed on Saturday.
Informed through messages and portals
Dr. Justinas Dzidzevičius, director of the Kaunas Vaccination Center, said that the information about the fact that the center would not be working and that people who had been vaccinated would be vaccinated on other days was sent by messages.
It has also been advertised on various news portals.
The Kaunas City Polyclinic website says:
June 26th (Saturday) – The vaccination center will be closed. The revaccination times of the population are postponed:
- Revaccination of the population The Vaxzevria vaccine (AstraZeneca) was moved from June 25 and 26 to June 23.

When asked why the vaccination center is not open today, J. Dzidzikevičius explained that several things were formed.
“Only in terms of human resources. (…) Because one day it just dropped to 7 and more than a thousand, and, for example, the next day there were 44 booster shots. It was such a decision, “said the director of the Kaunas Vaccination Center.
