The police know both the victim and the suspects.

Kaunas police representatives confirmed that the injured businessman is known to officers for his activities.

This crime was directed not at the general public, but at certain people, at interpreting the relationships of certain people,” said Elanas Jablonskas, chief Office of the Kaunas County Police Chief Commissariat.

Darius Valkavičius, the head of the Kaunas Regional Prosecutor’s Office, announced that private operational measures had been taken to explain the attack, as well as searches had been carried out.
