According to Delfi sources, after the classification, the first places on the electoral list were not the supporters of G. Landsdsberg, accused of liberalism, but the Christian wing of the party and its representatives.
According to the available data, the first two places: Ingrida Šimonytė, the non-partisan party that leads the list, and G. Landsbergis, the party’s president, were not rated.
240 surnames were published for classification. In the top ten after qualification, only the current representatives of the party faction in Seimas.
After qualifying, the top ten look like this:
1. Laurynas Kasčiūnas.
2. Paulius Saudargas.
3. Monika Navickienė.
4. Radvilė Morkūnaitė – Mikulėnienė.
5. Arvydas Anušauskas.
6. Audronius Ažubalis.
7. Agnė Bilotaitė.
8. Sigismund Pavilionis.
9. Jurgis Razma.
10. Gintarė Skaistė.
Political scientist Tomas Janeliūnas says the same election of party members indicates that conservatives are clearly sending a signal to the party leadership and the public about what kind of community they would like to be.
“Apparently conservative supporters and party members want to distance themselves more clearly from the more liberal parties. In part this is also a kind of tacit opposition to Gabriel Landsberg’s ‘liberalization’, which has been talked about in recent years. On the other hand, recently it has been necessary to also represent the traditional points of view in the society, even in the presidential elections, Gitanas Nausėda took advantage of it.Therefore, it is possible that the top ten of the Christian orientation may seem quite attractive for typical conservative supporters, ”says political scientist Tomas Janeliūnas.
