“The police station is closed, everyone works remotely,” Gailutė Smagriūnienė, a representative of the Šiauliai County Police, told BNS on Monday.

The commission has 66 staff members, 13 of whom, to its knowledge, have been diagnosed with coronavirus.

“Only a few people were ill that week, there were many people in self-isolation. After the investigation, they went from self-isolation to the position of the sick,” said G. Smagriūnienė.

According to the county police representative, over the weekend, Radviliškis’s colleagues helped Raseiniai’s colleagues to attend the summons, and Raseiniai’s officers perform tasks that can be performed remotely.

“We will see how it will be organized; perhaps, in turn, everyone will save Raseiniai. Last weekend, Radviliškis was rescued,” said G. Smagriūnienė.

The total number of illnesses in Lithuania reaches 3386, 1215 people are still ill, 2071 – recovered.

On the last day, 51 cases of coronavirus were detected in the country.
