The woman left the wounded man in the kitchen. The first night, she was still hearing some sounds, so she paid no attention to her husband and went to work in the morning.

When he returned, he found the man there, but he immediately fell asleep and went back to work in the morning. Then, on his way home, he bought wine, drank some, and called the police and confessed to killing his partner.

The crime was committed in 2020. on the night of February 11. In a close environment, during a conflict with her cohabitation DB, the woman intentionally hit the latter with a knife to the chest.

Wash pierced with a knife. As a result, everything was complicated by acute internal and external bleeding. Which led to the death of the man, and the woman was put on the bench for the deliberate murder of a member of her family.

More than a year after the incident, the Vilnius Regional Court found Laura M. guilty and sentenced her to four years in prison.

The victim in this case was DB’s mother, who requested a fine of 40 thousand. moral damage. The court awarded 9 thousand. euros.

A difficult life story

Laura M. pleaded guilty in full at trial. He told me that he went to work that day and DB stayed home and drank like every day.

After work, he returned by car, and there was nothing tidy in the house, the stove was not on. The roommate sat drunk and continued drinking beer. She blamed him for working alone and he just drank and did nothing.

DB didn’t hold back either and started yelling at him because after drinking he did it often. Little by little the barn began between them. When she finished, she went to get ready to eat while he was sitting in the kitchen.

She stood at the table, wanted to cook to eat, but during the conflict he hit her face hard with his hand. At the time, according to the woman, she was drunk and could not understand her actions.

She recovered when the roommate fell. The woman then went out into another room. The woman said she was angry, she lived with her, where everything was arranged, she paid for all public services, so she did not understand why he beat her all the time.

She was sober that day, but DB offered to drink the wine she had bought for the holidays. He drank about 100 grams of wine.

During the conflict, he spoke all kinds of annoyances, he screamed. According to the woman, she foamed at the mouth. He took off his shirt and told him to “kill me.” She replied that she would not because she did not want to sit in jail.

Then he got even more aggressive and then hit her in the face. Blood ran down his nose after the blow. After that hit, he no longer remembers how things were. He only remembered that he was cooking and that he had the knife in his hand.

Although she does not remember much, the woman has no doubt that she was killed because there was nothing else at home. He remembers seeing the man fall from his chair, but then he immediately went out into another room and did not return to the kitchen.

He would arrive only in the morning, but then he would pack his things and go to work. Then he found out that DB was sleeping but didn’t check in and left. He heard some sounds at night, so he thought he was still alive.

After work he went for a walk and went to a neighbor where it took him several hours. Then he returned home and went to another room. When he returned, he saw a partner lying in the same place. Then he no longer thought he was asleep.

But no action was taken, he just went to sleep. The next day he returned to work, apologized for not being there tomorrow, and decided to call the police. The woman went to the store, bought a bottle of wine, and on her return home had a drink and called the officers and told them that she had killed the man. The woman couldn’t explain why she hadn’t taken any action for so long.

Suffered constant violence

Laura M. said she met DB strangely and they began living together at her home in 2015 when her mother died. He was registered in the job market but he went to work abroad.

The last time he was abroad, he was fired because he started drinking a lot. He stayed abroad for 1.5-2 months, and then returned to her, where he stayed for about 2 months and then left again when he found a job.

He did not work in Lithuania. Their relationship was not friendly. Until he was there, everything was fine, but as soon as DB returned, according to the woman, he immediately went to work on the bruises. Everyone at work knew that this meant that their partner had returned.

I couldn’t take sick time all the time and be home because I needed to work. He went to the police for bruises and frequently went to the polyclinic and hospital. He was also brutally beaten. Usually he broke his face.

The other times she was beaten, she did not go to the police, but she cannot say why. Probably because she was afraid of him later. DB had repeatedly smashed the windows in the bedroom and the kitchen. Later, the police took him out, but released him after one day.

Then he didn’t live with her for a while, but kept calling her. According to the woman, the partner has taken home and her jewelry and money. They had expelled him, but he broke the door and was very good at apologizing.

She was older, which is why, according to Laura M., perhaps she was so loved and forgiven for her maternal love. When the partner drank, he said, the man became very aggressive, he did not hold back.

In the days when DB was murdered, the woman interacted with her mother over the phone. In court, he could not explain why they did not tell him anything. Nor did he explain why his mother had indicated that DB had gone to Visaginas, expelled him, was also looking for him.

Laura M. said that after the violence, the roommate always apologized, said that she would no longer raise her hand, that it was the last time and then everything was repeated again. The last time DB used violence before the fateful day was in January 2020, when, in a drunken state, he knocked her down in the kitchen and barely strangled her with a slipper.

Then he yelled and told him to listen. The woman remembered that her mother had come once and saw her beaten, her hair shaved. The roommate’s mother then told him that she would not calm down until she killed her.

DB, according to Laura M., also used violence against other people, against his relatives, because he beat both his mother and his father. His mother blamed him for his father’s death for killing him. He then hit the father with a bottle on the head, which caused him to sew the wounds, broke his ribs and the rib injured his lungs and his father died.

Mom even said at her cohabiting father’s funeral that DB is a murderer. After the death of his father, according to Laura M., the partner became a terrible person. Even her mother left Visaginas to live in Belarus because at that time she was beaten by both her husband and her son.

And finally. The mother initially asked to be sentenced to 10,000. damage, but he soon changed his mind and increased it to 40 thousand. euros. However, the court, as already mentioned, ordered 9 thousand. euros.
