When the streets of cities and suburbs were blocked by snow, public transport in the capital also faced problems. When Tv3.lt contacted the girl, she said that it is difficult to tell where the snow came from in the bus cabin, but it may have come through the rubber connections of the bus and the floor.

Vilnius public transport: this bus will not carry passengers today
Patricija Elžbieta Zarankaitė, representative of the Vilnius Public Transport (VVT), says on tv3.lt that it has already been clarified which bus it is, it stops and is returned to the bus fleet.
“It just came to our attention then. We assume one of the options could be that there are very large accumulations of snow only on the roads themselves and so snow could get in. In any case, this bus will not carry passengers today, we will fix it We’ll see right away what the problem might have been.
At the same time, we will take into account in the future that no more cases of this type occur. Passenger safety comes first, ”says PE Zarankaitė, VVT’s public relations specialist.
According to her, this is the first case of its kind in the capital.
According to data from the Vilnius City Council, a total of 3 bus routes have been changed during the last day, temporarily diverting buses to the closest passes, thus ensuring an uninterrupted journey. There were almost no major deviations from the schedules, only on some routes public transport was delayed by up to 30 minutes.
On the first day of snowfall, the movement of buses and trolleybuses in Vilnius developed quite smoothly; the most difficult passages were recorded only in places farther from the city, in Šilėnai, the gardens of Mileišiškės, Valakampiai, as well as at the entrances to Antakalnis.
In some parts of the capital, the thickness of the snow is 30 cm.
