Here the events of August 23 are recorded, when during a massive protest, Alexander Lukashenko appeared at the Palace of Independence with a machine gun in his hand, accompanied by his son Nicolás, who was wearing an armed military uniform.
As you can see in the video, the “siloviks” do not initially believe that he is Lukashenko, then they laugh and are surprised that he even armed his son.
They call Lukashenko the motto “East”.
The recording shows conversations on walkie-talkies as Mr. Lukashenko approached the OMON station in the palace.
OMO 1: Gale, you hear? President. We have a president behind us.
OMON 2: Really? To film?
OM 1: Do you hear? Movie.

Delphi recalls that, following the events of 23 August, the Belarusian Opposition Coordination Council requested an investigation into the delivery of a combat weapon to Mr. Lukashenko’s youngest son. This was stated then by one of the opposition leaders, Maryja Kalesnikava. The woman is now under arrest.
“In our opinion, it is very strange when a person who runs the state is allowed to run around in very strange clothes and a very strange weapon in the center of Minsk. I would like to draw attention to the fact that the competent authorities must verify the fact of the transfer of a combat weapon to a minor and react to it, ”said the activist.
Mr. Kalesnikava accused Mr. Lukashenko of firearm rape and pointed out that a man who had voted for the majority in the elections would not do so.
Former Belarusian presidential candidate Sviatlana Cichanouskaya has started a joint registry of crimes committed against protesters in Belarus and said she will seek international prosecution and sanctions against those responsible.
“I am initiating a unified crime log book created by the National Anti-Crisis Board and the team of former workers of the power structure, By_Pol,” Cichanouskaya said in a statement on Telegram on Tuesday.
Ms. Cichanouskaya noted that the launch of the online platform Common Criminal Record would record “as closely as possible” violations of the law, and that lawyers would “verify the material collected and prepare [ją] criminal proceedings both internationally and in the courts of the new Belarus “.
“My team will recommend that the names of people against whom real evidence has been collected be included on the sanctions lists. Last week, we brought the first criminal case in a court of international jurisdiction in Lithuania.” This is the case of Maxim Choroshin, who was tortured and had to leave Belarus, “he said.
Ms. Cichanouskaya also stressed that anyone involved in illegal activities against protesters “could confidentially write a sincere confession or testify about the crimes they saw.”
Cichanouskaya ran for presidential elections in Belarus after the Central Election Commission refused to register the initiative group of her husband, Siarhei Cichanouski, who was later arrested.
Belarus has been holding massive protests for nearly four months since the August 9 presidential elections, which were officially announced by Aliaksandr Lukashenko, who has ruled the country since 1994. The opposition and Western democracies view these elections as rigged.
