The Athens Panathinaikos team won the tournament in Kaunas and the match for third place 110: 102 (26:23, 23:20, 19:22, 24:27, 18:10) broke the ALBA in Berlin after the extension.

The fight for third place was very smooth and tenacious. After two halves, Panathinaikos had a slight advantage (49:43), but only at the end of the quarter. He managed to keep his lead, but in the fourth quarter ALBA tried to break the game and led 80:79 after Jayson Granger’s pitch.

One minute remaining was the same (89:89), and Peyton Siva responded to PAO’s colon with a long shot – 92:91. Still, Johannes Thiemann was fouled, but Ioannis Papapetrou only scored a penalty and compared the result. In the end, the teams were waiting for an extension as ALBA did not attack.
