On January 24 and 25, the Vilnius TV Tower will shine in new colors, welcoming the 698th anniversary of the city of Vilnius, its residents and guests. The music-changing light show will be organized as a joint creative project of the Vilnius Festival of Lights, the Telecentre and the M1 radio station.
The light and music show will begin on Sunday, January 24 and will run until Monday, January 25. These days starting at 6:30 pm Every hour, Lithuanian folk songs will be broadcast directly on the M1 radio station, accompanied by the corresponding lighting installations on the television tower. On Sunday, January 24, there will be music and light shows according to the song “Blue” by the group “Sisters on Wire”, and on Monday, January 25, according to the song “Powerful” by Vaidas Baumila and Sofija Vasilevskytė. Songs will play and the television tower will turn on at 6.30, 7.30, 8.30 and 9.30 pm.
“We are happy to be able to contribute to the Vilnius congratulations with this multimedia project and together we treat it as an introduction to the regular lighting installation design activities at the Vilnius TV tower. The tower’s computerized lighting system installed in 2019 allows us to design a wide variety of changing color compositions, so I believe that in the future the tower will be able to respond effectively to the city’s birthday, but also to other Lithuanian holidays. and foreigners, important organizations, companies or even individual events in people’s lives, ”says Remigijus Šeris, director of the Telecentre.
