To take advantage of possible frustration or dissatisfaction of the population with the authorities, a story was created about the Facebook post of the “Deputy Chief Pharmacist of Lithuania”, which explains that a useful drug for the elderly should be sold at a higher price.

The news is published on the website “Žinios LT Visuomenė”, but no such source of information exists. Furthermore, the address of the web page displayed in the browser does not match the name of the alleged website.

This is all a lie. There is no “Lithuanian Chief Pharmacist” position in Lithuania. Fake character and alleged deputy Lina Arlouskienė. The inventive story is intended for those who believe in offering a preparation not registered in Lithuania.

However, to give the pyramid of lies a basis for reality, the fictional story uses the name of the LRT program “Topic of the Day”, journalist Rita Miliūtė is mentioned, and images of fictional characters are pasted on a background reminiscent of the study of a public radio station.

The true purpose of the website was made clear at the end of the fictitious post. It turns out that the expensive “medicine” of the chief pharmacist can be bought here for only 39 euros. The problem is that the preparation provided is not a medicine.
