Nine members of the Alytus City Council have already put their signatures under the interpellation text, which declares mistrust in the city’s vice mayor, conservative Šarūnas Klėger.
The interpellation has been officially registered, so the mayor of Alytus Nerijus Cesiulis will have to put this issue on the agenda of the next council meeting in two weeks.
According to the editorial board of Alytausgidas.lt, more than 9 councilors actually tend to distrust Š. Klėger, especially since the vote for Rolandas Juonis and Neringa Rinkevičiūtė also demonstrated that, so it is very real that the new emerging council majority will remove another member of N. Cesiulis’ team from office.
