The support of the Social Democrats surprised even MAPavilionienė, who left the party, by P. Gražulis

“I promised myself not to interfere in politics, but my blood boiled when I learned that my former Social Democratic Party in the Gargždai constituency was campaigning to vote for Petras Gražulis. Party leaders Andriukaitis and Paluckas are ready to sell their souls to the devil so that the conservative Rasa Petrauskienė does not enter the Seimas alone, ”he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

The former Seimas member, who left the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party in 2017 and is no longer actively involved in politics, responded to the message of support for former European Commissioner Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis published in P. Gražulis’ agitation publication.

In the latter, he asks for support for P. Gražulis and affirms that he is the only dissident who works in the Seimas, although “he has a very colorful scale of political activity.”

The obvious betrayal of the party leaders to the ideals of justice of the Social Democrats is also the humiliation of the party.

MAPavilionienė was very critical of this.

The leaders support a person who has spoken out against gender equality and equal opportunities, who has spoken out against the correction of childbirth and sexual education in schools, who has spoken out against the Assisted Reproduction Act and against same-sex couples, ie against the human rights of all Lithuanian citizens.

With this support, the Social Democrats want to secure a back seat in the Seimas so that the remnants of this party do not collapse, so that only after the loss of popular confidence will the crumbs of the Social Democrats retain the seats of power. The once honorable Social Democratic Party supports an ignorant, scandalous and immoral man who is ashamed of the Seimas and Lithuania. The obvious betrayal of the Social Democratic ideals of justice by the party leaders is also the humiliation of the party, “he wrote on Facebook.

The second round of the parliamentary elections will take place on October 25.
