The State Tax Inspection (STI) informed the SNB that it currently has 1,900 pieces of jewelry, mainly silver, and a small proportion of gold and amber.
“15 units of products contain diamonds, sapphires, amethysts, topaz … STI’s goal is to sell the property as quickly as possible and at the lowest possible cost,” says Irina Gavrilova, director of the Arrears Administration Department.
According to the central public procurement portal, the Inspection concluded an agreement with Vilmarlita in early June. The maximum indicative value of the contract is 80 thousand. EUR (VAT included).
The tax administrator emphasizes that he does not commit to spending the full amount.
“This is a maximum amount that is established for three years. It should be noted that this amount is indicative and that the service provider can actually be paid less, since the contract stipulates that the purchase of the service depends on the needs of the STI ”, it is written in the comment.
According to I. Gavrilova, although at present the STI has at its disposal precious metal products for 37 thousand. It is not known how much and at what price the Inspection will take over and transfer these assets for sale in the next three years.
“Upon reaching an agreement with the service provider throughout the term of the contract, he will be paid by applying the percentage offered by him to the sale price of the products,” explains the Inspection.
Four more companies participated in the contest for the sale of jewelery: Telesfera, Sentios, Stokeris and the joint-stock company Ožys. Vilmarlita offered the lowest price for the service, that is, the lowest established percentage of the sale price.
According to data from the Registry Center, Vilmarlita’s shareholder is a natural person, a Lithuanian citizen. Last year, the company’s income amounted to 270.7 thousand. At the end of 2020, it had five employees.
More than 90 percent. Currently available ITS products are confiscated, about 5 percent. it is inherited by the state. The property is confiscated by the courts and is taken into account by the STI after the confiscation takes effect.
According to the Inspection, these assets are always sold through intermediaries with whom service contracts are signed through public tender.
