Rhododendrons in the forest?!

I don’t think so Come to Vainagiai Forest, Kelmė District, where Šiauliai Forest Enterprise foresters, in cooperation with Šiauliai University Botanical Garden scientists, have shown that rhododendrons can grow in our forests: they successfully resist cold winters. Skaistgiris Jonas Viliūnas Park is a unique human creation
1963 In Skaistgiris (Joniškis district), construction began on the first city park in the republic. Jonas Viliūnas, the then president of the Pergalė Collective Farm, was in charge of creating and maintaining the park.
In addition to local trees, up to 220 species of trees and shrubs growing in the Baltic countries were planted in the park: five species of spruce, various rowan, elm, red and common oak, walnut, beech, berry yew. The park is equipped with an amphitheater: a summer stage, a convenient path system. 1986 The park was declared a natural monument of local importance in 2007. They named it Jonas Viliūnas.

The Daugyvenė Cultural History Reserve-Museum collects and cultivates collections of various flowers. In May, thousands of multi-colored tulip flowers bloom in the Burbiškis Manor flower garden (Radviliškis District). Currently, more than 450 species of tulips grow here. There is a 3 hectare pond with 15 islands, 21 bridges and a bridge. It is difficult to even count how many rings can be seen walking on the bridges.
