Donatas Motiejūnas will not play in the Chinese league championship, journalist Emiliano Carchia announced.
The journalist shared a photo taken today on the social network Twitter, which shows how Motiejūnas and his personal trainer Virginijus Mikalauskas are preparing for the flight.
Carchia announces that Motiejūnas will return to Lithuania. The reason for this is not mentioned.
The Chinese league season will run on June 20.
The 20 teams will participate in the renewed championship. In the regular season, teams have 16 games left to play.
The Shanghai Sharks, represented by Donatas Motiejūnas, are 16th with 9 wins and 21 losses. Fujian’s sturgeons (13-17) are in twelfth place in the standings, guaranteeing a playoff spot.
