The incident occurred on the border with Russia, where two residents of the Königsberg region mixed the old Šešupė riverbed on their territory, entered Nemunas with a rubber boat and were detained on the Lithuanian side.
Both foreigners have been subjected to administrative proceedings for crossing the state border for negligence and fined 35 euros each.
On the same day, Russian citizens were handed over to the Kaliningrad region border guards through the Panemunė border checkpoint.
