Official Eurovision fan clubs have voted for their favorite song before the competition has been held since 2007. This year, the general Eurovision fan organization held a public vote in which up to 7,000 users voted for their favorite.
The song “On Fire” by the Lithuanian group “The Roop” received the greatest sympathy and exceeded the works of the representatives of Iceland and Switzerland.
The news portal tv3.lt reminds that this is not the only virtual prize for Lithuania. The group “The Roop” won the German alternative competition in honor of the participants who had to participate in “Eurovisión” on Saturday night.
The band members had gone to Hamburg, so they appeared on German television screens on Saturday night. Although the aforementioned show was just a consolation event for Eurovision fans, The Roop, which appeared here, won audience sympathy and received special attention: Lithuania triumphed.
In addition to Lithuania, other countries participated in the event: Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.
The winners of the ARD broadcast were selected by viewers.
Also last Saturday, Eurovision organizers gathered millions of viewers on television screens and broadcast a Eurovision concert: Europa Shine A Light.
All songs were honored here (41 total). And although they did not compete with each other at this concert, all the spectators at home were surprised, many surprises awaited them during the concert.
