In this contract, the qualitative criteria are the term of execution of the service in months from the entry into force of the purchase contract, the experience and the price of the special construction project manager.
Stages of road reconstruction
Works on the A14 Vilnius – Utena highway will be carried out in stages. The first section to be rebuilt is between 21.50 and 39.20 km. The tender for the works is scheduled once the design works are completed. Construction works are scheduled to begin in 2023. The cost of the project will be determined after preparation of the technical design and procurement procedures for the contract works.
The last reconstruction works on the A14 Vilnius state main road – Utena stretch from 16.00 to 21.50 km were carried out in 2019-2020. The road was rebuilt from two lanes of traffic to four, two-level intersections with sidewalks, overpasses were installed for pedestrians, environmental and traffic safety measures were implemented, and engineering networks were rebuilt.
The main highway A14 Vilnius-Utena is one of the main transport arteries of the country, running from the capital to the surrounding municipalities. This is one of the most problematic roads and probably the only one with a concrete and cement pavement that is worn, warped, and endangers traffic safety.
