The Attorney General received questions about the cases of the former Social Democrat, the Deputy Mayor of Vilnius, Romas Adomavičius, and about the cases of the former judge and Seimas member Neringa Venckienė.

E. Pašilis is asked how many pre-trial investigations have been initiated since the beginning of his term due to falsification by officials of pre-trial research institutions in the performance of official duties or abuse of duties.

According to the authors of the questions, in the case of R. Adomavičius, the officials falsified the official report on the time, place and circumstances in which the then-politician in the capital allegedly demanded a bribe.

In 2017 R. Adomavičius was convicted of human trafficking for a final sentence, and was sentenced to three years in prison, postponing his execution for the same period.

E. Pašilis is also asked to evaluate the officers’ work during the operation to take Laimutė Stankūnaitė’s daughter from her aunt N. Venckienė’s home in the Kaunas district on May 17, 2012.

On May 14 of this year, a video was distributed that a young woman resisted being taken.

“Does the Office of the Attorney General intend to reevaluate this situation and the actions of those who have worked there? Are you going to review the accused acts against N. Venckienė?” Ask MPs.

Now N. Venckienė is being tried for failure to comply with the court decision to hand over his daughter to her mother L. Stankūnaitė, resistance to a police officer, obstruction of a sheriff and L. Stankūnait-face to face.

The Attorney General also received questions about why he changed his mind and filed a lawsuit against the state for damages while working in the mercury-poisoned Ukmergė court, why he ignored the Selection Board’s recommendations in appointing prosecutors for higher positions, or intends to take responsibility for. The lawyer discussed the cases and discussed possible solutions in them.

Seimas members also asked about the extent of listening to conversations in Lithuania, about the price of the plots purchased for the construction of Queen Martha’s school and the “Kindergarten” kindergarten, etc.

Among the parliamentarians who signed the questions were Naglis Puteikis, Artūras Skardžius, Dainius Kepenis, Algimantas Kirkutis, Rimas Andrikis, Zbignev Jedinskij, Irina Rozova and others.
