As announced in the press release, the proposed objects are the buildings of the former vocational schools and their dormitories in the Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Panevėžys regions. All the objects offered measure more than 1500 m2. m area, often with yards, area around.

Currently, it is reported that the Property Bank continues consultations with the Ministry of the Interior on which objects would be the most suitable for the installation of a reception center and temporary accommodation.

Solutions are also being sought to transfer the use of the objects to the TVOF as soon as possible after selecting the objects.

Currently, detained migrants who crossed the border illegally are housed in premises provided by the municipalities of the city and the district of Alytus, the districts of Ignalina, Varėna and Lazdijai.

Temporary illegal immigrants are also staying in a tent town in Pabradė.

According to the State Border Guard Service, the construction of a hangar on the territory of the Druskininkai firebreak, which can accommodate about 70 illegal immigrants, was completed on Wednesday. A hangar of the same size is planned for Thursday on the adjacent Cable Firewall.
