As Ramūnas Šaučikovas, director of the news portal 15min.lt, told BNS, the legal dispute between S. Skvernelis and the news portal was resolved by both parties upon concluding a peace agreement.

“This dispute has been resolved amicably, and we have acknowledged the violation and made it public on our portal and social network, in accordance with the agreement between the parties,” he told BNS.

According to Liudvika Meškauskaitė, a lawyer representing S. Skvernelis, the peace agreement was finally concluded on Wednesday.

According to her, at first S. Skvernelis demanded not only an apology, but also compensation for moral damages and legal expenses.

“There were such demands, but the parties made a peace agreement through reciprocal concessions, the media promised to apologize and admit that they had committed a violation of the law, and the prime minister, in turn, does not claim litigation costs. and non-pecuniary damages, “he said.

“The most important thing is that the violation of the law has been recognized, which is what the prime minister was looking for,” added the lawyer.

The photos, for which the prime minister appealed to the Vilnius District Court for violation of the right to privacy, were published on October 15 last year in the news portal publication “He returned home: after repair , the prime minister left Turniškės “.

A few days later, the photos were removed from the portal article, and the editor of 15min.lt, Raimundas Celencevičius, distributed a public apology.
