The political scientist appealed to the guardians of Ketten’s ethics: the statements filled the cup of patience

The political scientist R. Urbonaitė announced this decision of the Seimas on Facebook. He was surprised that Mr. Kepen’s statements had not yet been discussed within the party.

“After receiving my request, the Ethics and Procedures Commission of the Seimas made the decision to initiate an investigation into the behavior of Dainius Kepenis. If the members of the Seimas do not have enough respect for their state and their people, that Dainius Kepenis humiliates without scruples, then the citizens themselves have to defend themselves, their families and at the same time the state. There are many questions about how this person and his party have not been discussed until now, “wrote the political scientist on Facebook.

R. Urbonaitė stated that his “cup of patience” was filled with D. Kepenis’ statement that the coronavirus is just a disease of neglect, as well as other public speeches.

“In my opinion, what this member of the Seimas is doing is in no way in line with the code of conduct for politicians (there are also questions about other codes, but we may find out in the future). Doctors have died. who have fought for other lives, fighters for the freedom of our country have died, who have also fought for the freedom of expression that this person now uses unscrupulously to humiliate the same combatants and make them realize that they are negligent.

However, I think they deserved someone to fight for them at least with those other means ”, argued R. Urbonaitė about his decision to appear before the guardians of ethics at Seimas.

“I do not know how the investigation will end. But at least I will know that I did not go beyond the country, which has become the norm for many of his fellow Seimas. There is no need to give way,” wrote on Facebook the political scientist R. Urbonaitė .
