The Pilot, which was driving ahead of traffic at the same time, remains among the leaders in its class.

“On the one hand, there is no day, on the other hand, as if everything is fine. At first I went through the speed section with my band, which I started with, but then I got stuck at the top of the dunes so I stayed behind.

After all day it’s like this bim bam was – unstable. I lost five minutes to the leader in the first point, but was thirteen minutes behind in the final. Quite a few actually, ”said Arūnas Gelažninkas.

In the general classification of the individual category three days later, the Zigmas Dakar team rider is still second.

“I lost about 10 minutes while refueling because I saw that I had missed a waypoint and had to go back five kilometers in front of the dunes before the traffic. It was a bit awkward, I tried to stay to the side because you can’t see anything through the dunes, you don’t know when someone can jump off them.

I went back to pick up the waypoint because I didn’t want to be fined, it would have been twenty or maybe forty minutes. As a result, I am not very happy with the result. On the other hand, I never fell, the bike looks healthy, so the fourth day is waiting ”, said the rider.

The waypoint was not captured by the runner’s GPS.

“I didn’t understand why I lost that waypoint. I was driving in a group, everyone else had GPS captured, not me. I realized this after a while so I came back a lot,” Arūnas said.

Italian Maurizio Gerini leads the original by motul class. Arūnas Gelažninkas is 12 minutes 45 seconds behind the leader in the overall singles standings.
