The man was accused of sexual exploitation of four girls. The criminal case was heard in a private hearing with the representatives of the victims and an interpreter.

The court uncovered a crime committed between 2011 and 2018 and found that the accused raped a minor, abused a person under the age of 16, and possessed pornographic articles depicting a child.

Shocking Finds During Search

According to the case, the pervert lived near the border with Latvia and did not raise suspicions with his neighbors. Later it became known that even for the parents of some exploited girls who lived in the neighborhood, he created an image of a helpful, good and helpful person.

However, interviewing the girls in the photos revealed a completely different image.

He was accused of abusing three minors.

When the man was accused of the abuse of three minors, he rejected them and explained that he only wanted to take care of the girls because they were from poor families: they drove, bought clothes and other things. According to the accused, he photographed because he wanted to.

One of the victims stated that she visited a Latvian city once with the accused when he was 13 years old. The man told the minor that he wanted to be photographed, he began to slide on his legs and chest. It was a warm summer day and the victim was wearing a dress. When the defendant photographed her on the bridge, they asked her to pick up a dress and if she did not, she would no longer take it home. The girl was scared and up. According to the minor, he was transported to Latvia anyway. The second time it happened to the man in the kitchen: he took photos again, he took off the strap of his dress, he wanted to put his hands behind his pants, but the girl crossed his hands.

The victim’s mother said the defendant had lived in her neighborhood for many years and was willing to help the man. They went to have a coffee, sat together and talked. However, the woman and her husband did not know much about the relationship between the daughters and the accused, since the girls were left alone when the parents went to work. “They went there to help with that, to do something else,” he said in a poll, noting that the neighbor was complaining about loneliness, needed communication, asked if the girls could go to him.

In addition, she allowed another daughter to go to Latvia with this husband, because it was important to the mother that the offspring not sit alone at home. The woman had to meet other girls who did not speak Lithuanian.

The case established that two more Latvian girls, who were recognized as victims, had visited the accused. The man also undressed them, took nude photos, touched intimate places. It has also been established that the accused, directly or through the parents of minors, when meeting young girls, interested in toys, food, buying clothes and other items of interest to them, offering to go to the sea together, visit other places and asking for help on the farm, To gain the trust of his parents, he looked for opportunities to look at the naked bodies of minors, touch the intimate parts of the body when photographing or filming in nature, in the car or in his own home.

I just wanted to explain what sex is

One of the most serious charges against a man is the rape of one of the four girls affected. At the court hearing, he explained that he had not had sex with the victim, and once they asked him to explain what sex was. It was also argued that after examining the girl, her hymen was not damaged.

According to the case file, in 2015. In Latvia, the defendant spent time by the river with a girl at the time, her mother, partner and brother. At one point, a man and a minor met in two of their cars when the latter wanted to change. According to the accused, the girl undressed because she was wet and took off her panties. He also asked her to explain where the children came from.

The man photographed the girl and her genitals, then removed her pants to her knees and tied the genitals to the victim’s genitals, but had no sexual intercourse. He just said, “This is how an object should go in and children would appear.” Photographs taken showing the man’s genitals hiding behind became evidence in court.

According to the defendant, upon learning this, the victim’s mother was angry and asked for money, and the man paid her 100 euros for not writing a statement.

Another case where during 2015 at Christmas, the same girl was in the place of the guests, where both her mother and her brothers, as well as the accused, the latter offered to go to Lithuania with him. When the victim refused, the mother ordered her to ride, and the man feared that he would not take the girl and her family home.

The victim was with the accused during the night, she slept in a bed with pajamas. Then the accused came, took off her pants and a T-shirt and raped her. The girl indicated that he was touching her chest, kissing her lips, then lying down and inserting her genitals inside. When the man was told he was in pain and started to pull away, he got down and went to sleep.

The interview protocol recorded that the girl said it was the second time and that the same measures were taken in November.

According to the case file, although the accused emphasized in his testimony that the victim did not object to his actions and even the opposite: he himself asked about sexual relations and asked to show how it was done, it did not affect the classification of his actions.

According to jurisprudence, having sex or satisfying a sexual passion with a minor is generally considered to take advantage of the victim’s helpless condition.

The court was also not persuaded by the defendant’s argument that there was no sexual intercourse and, therefore, no rape, because the hymen was not damaged. The photos of the man with the sexual relationship began, his testimony about the events in the river and the questioning of the girl in the other two cases convinced the court and subjected him to an article for rape.

Evidence of the fourth victim was missing.

The man was also accused of forcing another minor, who was a minor at the time, to have sex. According to the case file, it all took place in 2011-2013. During the period in which he and the accused visited the house of the accused, using psychological coercion, i. and. Threatening to cut off her mother’s material support, he forced her to have sex with her at least three times against her will.

However, the court lacked evidence, no investigation was launched and no charges were filed against him.

The court ruled that the man was guilty of raping one minor and three, including the rape of a raped girl. For these crimes, the convicted person will have to pay 8,000 euros in immaterial damages to the raped girl and 1,000 euros to an abused minor. Criminal offenses are also punishable by 10 years in prison.

The work of the regional services is disappointing.

Kristina Mišinienė, director of the Center to Combat Human Trafficking and Exploitation (KOPŽI), commented that it is always very difficult to see and provide assistance to children who have been victims of sexual abuse.

“We social workers feel a lot of negative feelings in those cases, they stay for a long time. In this story, we see that “real” pedophile who has also produced child pornography for many years. I do not want to offend child rights care and social services, but we have the impression that these services do not work at all in this region, and there is no talk at all about parents ‘and teachers’ knowledge of threats to children. children “.

According to the manager, all children who have attracted the attention of adults who feel ill with sexual desire may be victims of it, but she begs the question: are the children’s families ready to protect them?

“If, as in this case, mothers, fathers were not interested in what the ‘helpful neighbor’ wanted from their daughters, they were even happy to care for them, what are we talking about? Each pedophile has his favorite type of child, he looks for it and, as we can see, he finds it ”.

According to Kristina Mišinienė, it is difficult to say what kind of social sacrifices these men usually choose and should be answered by specialists in various fields, but the first thought comes from becoming familiar with families, according to the specialist, children did not care about families. in a circle of addictions, conflicts.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard it is to say, some mothers concealed such exploitation from girls, as if they themselves were addicted to this doomed hypnotizing manipulator. All of this only shows how dangerous child molesters and rapists are, deceiving us with their pleasant appearance, helpful behavior; after all, we generally imagine them as smelly people with swollen teeth, right?

The director of the center is convinced that, to avoid such cases in the future, he will place the greatest emphasis on the education of parents, guardians and teachers.
