Renaldas Gražys, one of the promoters of the project, assures that such great interest from artisans and visitors was not expected.

“Yes, it was unexpected for us, both for the interest of the artisans themselves, and for the first start, when we had to move everything to new, bigger and more powerful servers.

Before the start of today, there were more than 200 artisans offering their products, around 50 more were in process and their stores had not yet been published in the morning. We plan to reach the number of 300 artisans who have joined the project this weekend, ”says R. Gražys.

Currently, the fair page has been moved to more upload servers.

From verbs to jewels

At the Kaziukas virtual fair, the abundance of products is equal to the real fair. The prices also vary. In the online store you can find everything from a verb for 4 euros to a silver necklace, which can slim your wallet to 100 euros.

R. Gražis is surprised by such a variety of articles. The initiator of the project ensures that those artisans who did not have the opportunity to attend the real fair could also participate in said fair.

“The general impression of the variety of works pleasantly surprised both representatives of traditional folk art and cultural heritage. So many young people that they could not always participate in the Kaziukas physical fair.

There are various social groups involved that have their own communities, I would even call them mini-professionals. They came together with beautiful ideas, artistic look. We are happy to have managed to unite many different layers of society ”, R. Gražys does not hide his joy.

Those who wish to visit the fair can do so on the website www.craftson.lt.

The tradition of the Kaziukas Fair originated in the processions of the Holy King Casimir, which have been held since 1604. It takes place every year, the next weekend until St. Casimir Day, March 4.
