Alytus County LSC Response Division officers found themselves in the right place, at the right time, on patrol early Sunday morning.

Police report that while driving along the established route, officers noticed a burning house on Šilelio Street. Patrol leaders Deivydas Janavičius and Edvinas Merkininkas immediately informed the guard about the burning house and called the Fire and Rescue Service, and rushed to the fire.

The special services patrols could not wait, because every minute counts in such situations, because people can die inside the house.

The second floor of the house was on fire, where there were no people at that time, but people of respectable age slept on the other side of the house without suspecting anything.

Residents of the home resurrected and evacuated by officials said they felt nothing and thanked officials for rushing in at the right time. D. Janavičius and E. Merkininkas rescued three people from a burning house.

The result of the work of indifferent policemen was the saving of human lives that could have been extinguished if the fire had not been warned in time.

The fire was extinguished by firefighters from the Alytus Fire and Rescue Service.
