During the last day, from midnight Sunday to Monday, border guards denied entry to around 50 illegal immigrants in unauthorized places in Belarus.
On Saturday, Friday and Tuesday there were around 10 foreigners, while on Thursday, Wednesday and Monday the number fluctuated around 20.
No foreigners were admitted to Lithuania on Sunday.
Last day, immigrants from Belarus were not admitted to the Ignalina, Švenčionys, Vilnius and Lazdijai districts.
In each of them, an approximately equal number of migrants approached the border.
A shot was fired on Sunday night in the Švenčionys district near the border on the Belarusian side.
The use of service weapons, special measures or physical coercion by Lithuanian border guards and the soldiers assisting them was lost last day. Border control on the Lithuanian side is carried out under a reinforced regime.
