The attacking ranks of Vilnius “Žalgiris” will be complemented by the former rival player, well known to the fans of the team – the experienced sniper Josipas Tadičius.

The 33-year-old Croatian has represented Marijampolė Sūduvai on hiatus for the past few years and worked with current Žalgiris strategist Vladimir Čeburin until last season.

Last season, the forward was the most productive member of Sūduva, scoring 11 goals in 19 championships. According to this indicator, in League A he was surpassed only by Hugo Videmont de Žalgiris.

In total, J. Tadičius’ A league account has 57 appearances and 33 goals.

The footballer contributed to three Sūduva champion titles in the 2017, 2018 and 2019 seasons, as well as winning the Cup and Super Cup once.

Tadic started his career at the Croatian club Osijek, and also represented the famous Zagreb Dynamo and several other teams from his country.

The forward spent much of his career abroad and played in the championships in Germany, France, Poland, Australia, Austria, Turkey and Hong Kong.

The footballer has gained a lot of experience in international duels: he has played 26 matches in the knockout stages of the Champions League and the European League, as well as almost fifty duels in Croatian youth teams of various ages.
