“The very idea of ​​the construction project was inspired by the Japanese origami art form. The station will be an integral structure, after which the platform will be located, part of it will be planted. Arriving passengers will be greeted by the bus station not only in a modern building, a spacious waiting room adapted for the disabled, but also in a modern passenger information system. Information screens will be installed here, displaying current and real-time route information. In addition to the usual ticket sales, the box will also have a self-service terminal. It will allow you to pay with a bank card and buy travel tickets easily and quickly. An underground parking lot with 87 places for the disabled was also designed under the bus station, the municipality said in a statement.

When designing the bus station, a lot of attention was paid to maintaining safety and order in this part of the city. It is planned that buses enter the station from the Savanorių side, so it will be safer for pedestrians, disabled people, bicycles, vehicles, traffic crossings will be avoided. The technical project includes road safety measures, road signs, illuminated passages, new LED lights for stations and pedestrian paths, lights with a dimming function, video surveillance cameras, etc., small architectural objects will be installed.

The bus station building is designed in an irregular trapezoidal shape. The facades are provided with transparent glass, they will provide visual connections between the interior spaces and the exterior platform, this place will be the most friendly for pedestrians. The bus station is expected to be equipped with a passenger waiting room, lockers, driving room, baggage and parcel department, dispatch center, information service, sanitary and administrative facilities, etc.
