The National Basketball Association has officially returned: Club owners have voted to extend the 22-team season in Orlando.
29 clubs voted in favor, while only one team spoke out, Adrian Wojnarowski announces. The Portland Trail Blazers voted against.
For the decision to take effect, at least three-quarters of the teams had to support it.
The first game at the Walt Disney theme park will be played on July 31. The last possible end date for the season is October 12.
Each team will play eight more games in the regular season, followed by the playoffs.
The Walt Disney theme park will feature 16 teams entering the regular-season playoffs and other clubs that still hope to fall in the top eight in the East or West Conference.
ESPN previously announced that the remaining six seats should go to the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, New Orleans Pelicans, and Portland Trail Blazers.
The NBA season has started for Lithuanians Jonas Valančiūnas and Domantas Sabonis. For Ignas Brazdeikis, who played for the Knicks in New York, the season is over.
The NBA meeting also decided to postpone the rookie swap. ESPN journalist Adrian Wojnarowski has announced that the exchange of newcomers will take place on October 15. The NBA rookie lottery will take place on August 25, when clubs will hand out rookie stockings.
