“It is always difficult to admit that you are wrong, but when you do, you have to do it and apologize. It is also difficult for us today, but not because we need to make it public, it is what allows us to correct our mistake. However, we still have a hard time understanding. and accept that the person who represented our club abused our trust and first of his actions and then lied and damaged the reputation of the club that had admitted him into its ranks, in general and specifically to all his trusted colleagues and coaches. .

Yes, we are talking about Arnoldas Misiūnas and Wednesday night events at the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. After the first reports of their possible participation, we awaited the response from Arnold himself and only then did we give our opinion on the situation, since trust in its members is one of the most important values of the Sparta Fight Gym Club. But an equally important value is total intolerance of aggression and violence. And after today we received both video and photographic material with images of Arnold, and there is no doubt that both values have been mentioned, we inform that we completely distance ourselves from Arnold Misiūnas and from this moment we terminate any relationship with him .

We want to emphasize once again that we condemn the actions of absolutely all rioters, because violence in no way can be justified and does not lead to a solution to problems, but only creates new ones.

We also apologize to everyone who was disappointed in our initial reaction yesterday. We are not asking you to understand why yesterday we had a different position towards Arnold, but we hope that our apologies will be heard and we want to hope that they will be accepted, ”wrote the Sparta Fight Gym club on social media.

On Tuesday, thousands of people gathered near the Seimas who were outraged by the Covid-19 vaccines and dissatisfied with the wider use of the passport, and set up bitter and organized a protest nearby. This protest started in the morning and lasted until late.

Angry protesters also poured their anger on the police officers, throwing various objects. Among the participants, it was possible to see a man very similar to the famous fighter: Arnoldas Misiūnas.

On the social network, more than one person shared images of the riots. In one of the videos, a man could also be seen supporting the rioters and also throwing a stone at the officers. Many on the Internet have begun to speculate if it will not be the athlete A. Misiūnas.

A. Misiūnas assured the tv3.lt news portal that he did not register in the aforementioned video.
