Economy Minister Aušrinė Armonaitė announced on Monday that according to COVID-19 morbidity statistics, it would be possible to first open ski resorts, beauty service companies and some shops.
On Tuesday, Vice Minister Vincas Jurgutis indicated the proposed dates on which these businesses could begin operating. The news portal was the first to announce this delfi.lt.

“These dates mean more that we are talking about ski resorts in the first place,” said the politician.
However, he argued that the dates in question were simply a proposal for discussion in the Government
“The opening of these companies must coincide quickly with the improvement of morbidity data and a constant trend,” said the Vice Minister of Economy.
We need to do this in a very measured and responsible way.
The Ministry of Economy and Innovation proposes that the ski resorts be opened on the condition that they cannot rent equipment and accept only pre-registered people, keeping the distances between clients.
In beauty centers, services can only be provided for one person at a time, providing a room of at least 10 square meters. Intervals between services should be 15 minutes.
At that time, stores could also serve only one customer at a time, they will also need a separate entrance from the outside.

According to V. Jurgutis, particularly strict security measures are foreseen for companies so that they can open as soon as possible.
“We have to do it in a very measured and responsible way,” said the deputy minister.
The second quarantine introduced in Lithuania due to the spread of the coronavirus has been in place since November, but in mid-December it was severely reinforced by the current government.
The quarantine was then scheduled to last until the end of January, but the meeting of the Government Emergency Commission (WESC) on Monday suggested extending it for at least another month.
