The modular complex will house 64 people and will also house socialization specialists and a care post, the Justice Ministry said.

“We want those convicted in correctional institutions not to live in 20 or 30 places in one room, but to be transferred to intensive care, when two or three people remain in the cell,” the minister said.

According to him, large funds are needed to install small cameras in all correctional facilities, so it was decided to build modular premises that can be installed quickly, cheaply and conveniently.

“Convicted convicts make it easier to avoid subcultural behavior, correctional officers and psychologists can work more efficiently, and convicts and detainees have more privacy,” the Justice Department said in a statement.

Currently, about a third of those convicted are in cell-type premises.

This year, more than 650 modular cell seats will be installed in correctional facilities.
