The military terrain devastated by tanks was ruthless with the team of the Rallye Breslau participants.

The fourth day of the Rallye Breslau race was divided into two speed sections: 117 and 93 km long. Between them, the participants had time to return to the bivouac for a short stop. Many took advantage of this break solely for mechanics to inspect the machine after the first speed section. Immediately after that, the teams moved to the start of the second sprint section.

The CFMOTO Factory Racing Team duo, competing with the ZFORCE 1000 Sport, failed. After a very severe impact on the unmarked hole, the buggy had a damaged suspension: the front fork and linkage were broken. Antanas and Audrone Kanopkins, who were second in the class in the night speed section, had to forget about the high position this time and decide how to reach the finish line for the day overall.

“We drove in the first five and we kept changing positions with our opponents – we went from fifth to first, we fell to fifth again and so constantly, because those who were faster made navigation errors, we overtook them, then they overtook us.”

The other participants had a speed advantage, we had a navigation advantage. There was a lot of dust. We ate them half a year earlier.

As for the accident where the suspension broke, we hit a very large hole at that point. The place was dangerous: driving at 100 km / h. There it hits a well half a meter deep and a few meters long at high speed. We put a candle there and the metal didn’t take that blow. We will now turn to our partners – “Pearl Insurance” for help. And seriously, nothing terrible happened, but we wasted time. We were able to handle the straps and tools.

It would have been a crime there because other buggies just didn’t see us standing there in the dust. Many thanks to the doctors who were nearby and who immediately came to us and wanted to help even to remove our cart, because we were standing in a really dangerous place, “said Antanas Kanopkin, who today ranked 25 with his wife Audrone.

Today, the class winners were Ramūnas Kembrė and Dalius Olechnavičius, a duo from another Lithuanian Specialist Racing Team. They beat the closest opponent by five minutes.

CFMOTO Factory Racing Team ATV Adam Gančier had a great day. Although he did not win any of the speed sections, he placed first in the ATV class in terms of the day’s overall result. This was achieved by a stable result from both speed sections, which the Lithuanian opponents could not demonstrate.

After the end, Adam said he was happy with the result. According to the athlete, today he did not try to drive at full pace, but he saved the equipment, because it will still be necessary on Saturday, the last day of the Rallye Breslau race.

“When I woke up in the morning, I felt really tired, but as soon as I went to the start and recovered. The first stretch of speed was formed so that we surpassed two wheels on the track. There was little navigation, just the beginning of Low.

Some heavier navigation gems were added, but on most I navigated without even stopping. I kept the equipment very safe. I used maybe 70 percent of the motorcycle’s potential to prevent the belt from tearing.

I didn’t bring work to the mechanics. Just preemptively change the strap, check the suspension and everything. Storing a motorcycle, without rushing at certain points, pays off.

I still have energy so I look forward to the last day. We will see how we can finish the competition, ”said Adam Gancierius.

Romualdas Karužis, another Lithuanian competing in this class and a member of the Specialist Racing Team, finished the day in fifth place, just over 12 minutes behind Adam Gancier.

Andrius Liškas, who is racing a motorcycle in Enduro class, had a successful day. He finished the two speeds of the fourth day in third position.

Saturday is the last day of the Breslau Rally. Participants will have to run again at Drawsko Pomorskie military training ground.

A solemn awards ceremony awaits the fastest teams and their representatives that night, but no one thinks about that today. Before your eyes: the last and completely unpredictable 120 kilometers.
