The Euroleague has announced that due to several cases of COVID-19, the match to be played at Crvena Zvezda at the Žalgiris Arena this Thursday has been postponed to a later date.
The Belgrade club has informed the Euroleague that after COVID-19 tests and positive responses, the team will not have 8 eligible players. Therefore, according to the Euroleague regulations, the match will be postponed with a new date announced later.
Monday’s match against Mega Soccerbet Belgrade was lost by Corey Walden, who is suspected of being COVID-19. Jordan Loyd is the only Crvena Zvezda player to have contracted a coronavirus.
Until now, Žalgiris was just one of the few Euroleague participants, whose schedule this season has not been adjusted either by the COVID-19 problem itself or by its competitors.
