Little has pleaded guilty to killing 93 people, mostly women, between 1970 and 2005, but authorities have not linked his killings nationwide to a single network.
Most of this former boxer’s victims were drug addicts and prostitutes. In most cases, the murdered women were never identified or their deaths were not investigated.
Little, who was caught by police in Kentucky for drugs, was originally linked to the murder of three women in Los Angeles according to DNA traces found.
After falling behind bars, Little began to name his other victims, and the FBI confirmed his involvement in at least 50 murders last year, and his statements on all other crimes were “convincing.”
In 2014, the court sentenced Mr. Little to three life sentences.
Little died at the hospital, but the Los Angeles coroner’s office has yet to determine the cause of his death, the California Department of Corrections said in a statement.
This 1.9-meter-tall man, also known as Samuel McDowell, used to block his victims with powerful punches and then suffocate without leaving obvious signs of murder, such as stab wounds or gunshot wounds.

He was charged with murdering women in Mississippi and Florida in the early 1990s, but was not found guilty.
The US media recently reported that Little had heart disease and diabetes.
