Lithuanian wins unit competition at ITF men’s tennis tournament in Tunisia Laurynas Grigelis (ATP-515).
On Sunday, the Lithuanian finished in 1 hour 32 minutes 6: 1, 7: 5 defeated Slovenia Tom Kochevar-Desman (ATP-812). L. Grigelis won the main trophies of the tournament and 10 ATP points.
In the first set, the Lithuanian advantage did not raise much doubt: the Slovenian did not realize the single “break point” and L. Grigelis won two series of innings from the opponents. In the second set, the Lithuanian dispersed the lead (3: 1, 4: 2, 4: 4), but in the eleventh game he managed to achieve the “break point”. Then Grigelis regained the initiative and established victory during his legends.
For L. Grigelis, this was the first ITF unit title since 2019. September. In total, the Lithuanian has already won 25 professional tournaments. 24 of them are from the ITF and 1 from the ATP Challenger.
