Domantas Šakinis (23) was only convicted on January 14 of this year, although the crime was committed in August 2017.
The young man, who had no permanent residence, this time arrived at Peterborough Prison to visit a man serving a custodial sentence there, but spoke very little during the meeting with the prisoner and the guest appeared nervous.
His behavior aroused suspicion among the guards who witnessed the meeting, so it was decided to interview Domantas Šakinis after the visit, and then he behaved even more strangely: he could not even say the last name, the Lithuanian body language and the expression facial of the prisoner who visited.
Finally, he took the package of the Mars chocolate bar out of his pants pocket and said that it contained drugs: cannabis for his own use.
However, jailed police officers found 149 ecstasy pills (MDMA), which are classified as Class A drugs in the UK.
The detainee said during questioning that he was only following the instructions of an unknown man who threatened to take care of him if he refused.
The Lithuanian assured that he had no choice but to fear for his own safety.
He was charged in court with distributing Class A drugs.
On January 14, the Cambridge Crown Court sentenced him to 2 years in prison, postponing him for the same period.
The young man also received a court order to complete a 50-day drug rehab program.
