The final and unappealable decision in the case of Birutė Liutkuvienė, former head of Mažeikiai Gardens Basic School, was made by the Supreme Court of Lithuania.
The first verdict in the case of the former director of the Mažeikiai Municipality Garden Basic School was announced in July last year: the Šiauliai Regional Court, after examining the criminal case, convicted B. Liutkuvienė for misuse, falsification of documents and their use, fraudulent accounting, misappropriation of foreign property.
The former director denied his guilt, but the court found her guilty and sentenced him to two years in prison, postponing his execution for two years, deprived him of the right to hold a higher post in the public administration for three years and ordered the district municipality of Mažeikiai pay almost 23.6 thousand. to damage. The defendant was acquitted of the loss of property.
