A Toyota driver (born 1945), who was driving from Vilnius and turning on the Nemenčinė highway, did not miss the Volvo V70 driving into the city. The last car was driven by a family: a woman (she was driving), a man and two children.
Volvo crashed into Toyota’s side and both cars flew off the road. Toyota hit the trees and was still under pressure from Volvo.
Fortunately, the Toyota driver was driving alone; If there had been a passenger next door, it would hardly have survived – the passenger side was completely lowered. The driver was released from the car by firefighters and handed over to medics. They took him to the hospital.
The former Volvo people were hardly injured, but the family was taken to the hospital for an examination (children involved in accidents are always examined in the hospital).
