The head of a private ambulance station and his family from Vilnius were vaccinated with a vaccine for doctors in Šilalė

Tadas Bartkus, the deputy mayor of Šilalė district, shared this on his Facebook account, who said that he had received a very surprised call that although vaccines are not enough for all doctors in the district, they appear unexpectedly with others.

“It started with COVID: 19 vaccinations from the district doctors, but not all are vaccinated, people are waiting their turn, but the Vilnius gentlemen do not have to wait in line. Here are the Ambulance managers who come to Šilalė with their relatives and are vaccinated here as if they were chosen. Find out how it could have happened that the Ambulance director and his family, who came from Vilnius, were vaccinated here together with the Šilalė ambulance staff. How long have you been working at the station in ambulances from Šilalė? ”the person asked me on the phone.

I admit it, the call surprised me considerably. The vaccination of district residents is carried out by the public institution “Šilalė District Hospital”. Therefore, I immediately contacted Jolantas Milašiūnienė, Acting Director, to deny or confirm the fact that the UAB Ambulansas managers and their Vilnius family members had been vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine at their institution. If this is a fact, I have asked you to indicate all the circumstances in which it happened.

The Deputy Director of the Šilalė District Hospital replied that the Šilalė emergency medical personnel had been vaccinated on behalf of the Klaipėda University Hospital. Like J.

Doctors at Vilnius City Clinical Hospital are vaccinated

“The list of vaccinated employees was provided by L. Kalnikaitė to the nurses who carried out the vaccination. Neither the nurse nor anyone else controlled this list, we just did the job we were assigned. I cannot answer the question if there were managers there, ask the director of UAB Ambulansas, ”says the letter from the acting director of the Šilalė District Hospital.

We managed to obtain a list of emergency medical personnel from UAB Ambulansas Šilalė for vaccination. It was signed by Algirdas Radvila, Deputy Director of Quality at UAB Ambulansas. He himself is included in that list among Šilalė ambulance workers. The list includes people who actually work at the Šilalė ambulance station. But I also found unknown surnames. Suppose Richard Ūselis. Who is he?

I have not heard such a person work in the Šilalė ambulance. I became interested online. It turns out that Ričardas Ūselis is the CEO of UAB Ambulansas. And who are the other three Ūseliai on Šilalė’s list of ambulance workers, including two Ūselienė? Since when have all those Ūseliai been working in Šilalė?

The situation is really strange. The list is signed by one person, submitted by another person, and the immunization agency simply “does the assigned job.” So why not vaccinate your family, all your relatives, and a few neighbors more often? And the people of Šilalė will wait, they are not Vilnius lords! ”, Writes the deputy mayor of the Šilalė district on the social network.

The news portal 15min.lt was the first to report it, to which R. Ūselis, the Ambulance chief himself, assured that he did not feel that he had done anything wrong.

“And what are we not doctors? Non-medical ‘ambulance’? We asked, they assigned us and we went, we got vaccinated. Employees, volunteers, because half of our brigades are sick for the crown”, said R. Ūselis in 15min.lt .

Meanwhile, the head of the Šilalė ambulance station told LRT radio that all those vaccinated were employees.
