The construction of Cyber ​​City, a city for the tech community in Naujamiestis, begins in the ancient area of ​​Sparta. The construction works will be carried out by UAB Veikmės statyba and is scheduled to be completed in 2022. second quarter. The planned investment amount is more than 50 million. euros.

One of the main investors and tenants of the project is Tesonet. “We look forward to moving to a new location with the team, where we plan to house more than 1,500 of our colleagues. At the same time, we are looking at expansion and even more new jobs. We are also eager to see other technology companies in the field. city, ”says Tomas Okmanas, co-founder of Tesonet Accelerator.

The start of construction allows you to actively search for other tenants. The aim of the Cyber ​​City idea is to create a campus of growing companies, to bring together and unite the Lithuanian tech community.

“We have a lot of experience in construction, which serves the conversion of territories. We are also very interested in contributing to this historic transformation. We have no doubt that this modern project will delight not only the employees of the future city of innovation, but also the community of residents of southern Naujamiestis, ”says Mantas Bagdonavičius, manager of Veikmės statybos.

The planned completion of construction is mid-2022

The building permit for the Cyber ​​City project was received in October and construction work will begin shortly. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.

In the territory of almost 2 ha in Naujamiestis it is planned to develop around 35 thousand. kv. m of offices, coworking and commercial spaces, as well as innovative recreational spaces designed mainly for technology companies and start-ups.

The project will consist of 4 different types of buildings, the objective is to plan and plan to preserve the chimney of the old factory in the current area.

“This project is one of the biggest conversions in Vilnius. Together with other office buildings, Cyber ​​City will turn the Naujamiestis district into Lithuania’s most modern digital technology hub, ”said project authors Antanas Dagelis and Jovilė Porvaneckaitė of Cloud Architects.
