The documents of the Government Chancellery indicate that the presentation was prepared by the Seimas Chancellery.

K. Brazauskienė told BNS on Monday that he was seeking this rental because he had not received the president’s widow’s rent.

“I am not recognized as the president’s widow. I am someone’s widow,” said A. Brazauskas’s widow.

I am not recognized as the president’s widow. I am someone’s widow.

When asked why the issue would be discussed during the change of government, she said she was not interested in when it would be discussed.

“I don’t know when they will change, they don’t interest me at all, frankly. I don’t see a government that understands what the law is, ”said K. Brazauskienė.

The spouse of the deceased signatory is entitled to the signatory’s widow’s pension.

The state annuity for the signatory’s widows and orphans is 25 percent of the state annuity and is currently 331.11 euros per month.

Rent is not paid if the spouse of the deceased signer has insured income.

According to data from the Registry Center, K. Brazauskienė is a member of the boards of directors of Imperiva (Crown Plaza Vilnius Hotel) and Embex.

K. Brazauskienė told BNS that he had no connection with these companies run by his son Ernestas Butrim for a long time, but said that it had not been agreed since then.

“I don’t remember, it was probably a long time ago,” said A. Brazauskas’s widow.

K. Brazauskienė applied to hire the president’s widow, but last year the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania (SACL) gave the last word, rejecting the president’s widow’s claim on the damages and upholding the lower court’s decision.

K. Brazauskienė filed a lawsuit in 2018, four years after the Constitutional Court’s interpretation. The trial court held that the appeal was subject to a limitation period of three years and expired in July 2017.

K. Brazauskienė sought to award a total of 113.5 thousand. from the death of his spouse in 2010, when he submitted his application, to July 2014, when the Constitutional Court clarified that the provision of the law establishing the pension of the president’s widow is in conflict with the Constitution of Lithuania.

K. Brazauskienė stated in his application a decade ago that he had no assured income, but did not hide the fact that he was managing high-value assets.

A. Brazauskas served as president in 1993-1998.
