On Sunday, the government’s emergency commission proposed to extend movement controls between the country’s municipalities until January 31, an Interior Ministry spokeswoman told BNS.

“It is proposed to extend the movement restrictions between municipalities until January 31, but on January 17 the results, morbidity, death data and everything else will be reviewed, which would be possible to lift the restrictions,” said Lina Laurinaitytė-Grigienė to BNS.

In order to control the spread of the coronavirus, the movement of people between municipalities was restricted without good reason in mid-December, until now it is valid until 9 pm

During the weekend before Christmas, as well as during the Christmas and New Year periods, several tens of thousands of cars have already been delivered.

The Government Emergency Commission can recommend decisions to the Government on handling a pandemic. The Commission is made up of all the ministers, as well as the heads of some of the institutions.
