“Center-right and independent candidates dominate,” he said of support 15 minutes he said, it was true, that the party would not support Petras Gražulis, who had moved to the Gargždai district.

In the second round of the Seimas elections in single-member districts, the Freedom Party has indicated that it will support the president of the Liberal Movement Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, who will compete with the conservative Mykolas Majauskas, as well as the conservative Rasa Petrauskienė, who will face the aforementioned P. Gražulis.

In several other districts – independent candidate Domas Griškevičius, who will meet with Valerijus Simulikas, nominated by the “peasants”, candidate of the liberal movement Romualdas Vaitkus, who will compete with the social democrat Darius Petrošius.

Decisions to support these candidates were made by the Freedom Party Board on Friday.

“Today, at the Freedom Party Board, we decided to invite our voters in the second round to elect those candidates who could contribute to the Freedom Party initiatives and support real changes in Lithuania. First of all, in the fields of education, human rights, economics and others.

The Freedom Party Board has selected several candidates that it invites to support in single-member constituencies:

– Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen LRLS (Old Town of Vilnius-Žvėrynas) – because change requires more liberals;

– Rasa Petrauskienė TS-LKD (Gargždai) – because we have a unique opportunity to get rid of P.Gražulis with this great candidate;

– Domas Griškevičius (Šiauliai Saulė) – because a new generation of politicians is needed, and Domas’s opponent, V. Simulik, is also in favor of the return of the death penalty;

“Romualdas Vaitkai LRLS (Tauragė) – because we are hopeful that liberal-minded Romualdas will contribute to the right initiatives,” stated A. Armonait afirmó on Facebook.

15 minutes asked the candidates of the Liberal Movement and the Lithuanian Christian National-Democratic Union (TS-LKD) who will join the coalition with the Freedom Party.

A. Armonaitė declared that the party does not have a unified and universal solution.

“We have left the decision to the departments and candidates. Some are already consulting, “he said.

The same politician wrote on Facebook: “There are people in other counties who deserve support and we are ready to share that support locally once our candidates and departments decide.”

The second round of the Seimas elections will take place on October 25 and early voting in the elections will begin on Monday. In the second round, 12 candidates from the Freedom Party will compete, 8 of them entered the Seimas during the first round.

A.Armonaitė has previously expressed his desire to bring the party into the coalition, but did not specify with whom he imagines it. Speaking about the TS-LKD, the politician pointed out that their views are slightly different compared to the Freedom Party.

“The homeland union now positions itself as the party of the economic left, so we should look at what the left would offer and what is our relationship with it. We are a classical liberal organization that represents a job for itself and for others, creating a person and more freedom for him, “he told the Delfi television program” Lithuanian Political Forum “.
