He mentioned that the educational activities that had previously delighted the young residents of Kaunas will continue. As the coronavirus pandemic leaves the traditional Christmas village in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, all activities will move to the online space and children will be able to write a letter to Santa as before.
“We will have a cabin, it is the residence of Santa Claus, but it will not be possible to enter it, of course, due to quarantine,” said a representative of the municipality.

“On November 28, at 6 pm, we urge everyone to stay home and watch the lighting of the Kaunas Christmas tree on Lithuanian television. To comply with the quarantine requirements in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, people will not gather, employees of the municipal public order department will be on duty, and they will be assisted by a private security company.
Kaunas County Police Chief Commissariat spokeswoman Odeta Vaitkevičienė mentioned that patrolling by officers on city streets will be intensified and that what is happening in public spaces will be monitored by video cameras.
According to a police spokesman, people who violate the quarantine conditions will be warned and only those who do not comply with malice will be punished.
