All the more so that the fact that the dance of V. Baumila and IBRiepšaitė could have been recorded beforehand was not mentioned during the broadcast time, and after dancing, they stood in front of the commission like nowhere.

To clarify this unusual situation, 15 minutes contacted Audrius Giržad, the producer of the “Dance with a Star” project.
First of all, he explained that this performance by Vaida and Ieva Brigita was actually filmed even before the live broadcast of the show. On Saturday evening, V. Baumila organized a concert in Vilnius, so he did not have the opportunity to film directly at the same time.
“By inviting participants to the project, we know that these are the people on stage, that it is their job and we will bring them out on Friday, when rehearsals take place all day, and Saturday. So we immediately agree with everyone that once during the project, with prior notice, we will allow them to record the show. Vaidotas knew immediately before the project that there would be that concert, and he took advantage of this opportunity ”. 15 minutes said the producer of the project.

When asked how he would then explain the change in the dancer’s hairstyle and why the couple’s performance was combined from two jumps, A. Giržad admitted that it was due to a technical error by the project developers.
“When recording a dance, let’s say that button was not pressed, and since the dance cannot be repeated according to the rules, we had to plug that hole at dress rehearsal time. We didn’t have a lot of options, “he said.
However, A.Giržadas emphasized that the evaluated performance of V.Baumila and IBRiepšaitė was honest: the commission members saw the dance live and not a recording with a still from the rehearsal.
“The whole episode was recorded. There is a condition that if the participants take the opportunity to dance in advance, the commission also goes ahead and watches the performance live, ”said A. Giržadas.
